eBay
Isn’t it so blindingly fucking obvious as to what is wrong with eBay’s core business?
The site is dead slow and new rich web technologies like AJAX, which seem to be invented just for eBay (i.e. one small part of the page – time to end of auction – changes but people sit there with their fingers tapping the refresh the whole page button like a metronome), are nowhere to be seen.
I fully expect that someone will create a beautiful clean UI for buyers that is much faster and more intuitive that eBay’s consumer destination. Some are already doing it for sellers. And then embarrassingly the company will probably have to buy that company.
