One of the programs I am fascinated by is Y Combinator. The basic ethos of betting on young people to lead and create rather than feeding them into the bottom cog of the system.

To that end, one of the best accounts I have seen of that process is from Harjeet Taggar, the co-founder of Boso.com (craigslist for colleges) and now Auctomatic (power eBay seller tools).
