Youtube Revenue
One particularly fun fact in Google’s 10-K is the revenue Youtube earned in 2005 and 2006.
The number is a little obfuscated but you can get at it but substracting the pro-forma accounts in the acquisition notes with Google’s actual revenue.
In 2005, Youtube earned the grand total of $15,000 in revenue. In 2006, revenue was $12.9m.
Interestingly, Youtube’s revenue was over three times less than Facebook had in 2006.
