A Single Feed To Rule Them All

by nikiscevak on October 9, 2006

A good friend, Brian Smith, has today launched a beta of his startup SingleFeed.com. The premise is simple: to allow smaller merchants an easy to use interface to maintain their feeds with the plethora of shopping comparison engines out there.

Think of it as feed management for the little guy. The company will undoubtedly succeed because the shopping comparison engines are still about booking trips to Minnesota rather than creating an Overture-like approach to feeds. Indeed, I’m imagining (and Brian too) the engines will provide much of his initial business.

Besides from the benefit of managing a single feed centrally, as Brian’s community grows he will also be able to eke out discounts on related services for his merchants. He is offering free clicks on the comparison engines that is equal to about the first two months of service.

Either way, go check it out, and congrats to Brian and co. on the launch!
