She was nice and listened to my situation. In the end, she could not help us with our home purchase. I am a RN working at my job for 3 years but did not have enough credit. My husband is laid off and we were planning on moving to Columbia (where he is from) for work. I was told we needed more credit. We do not want to open any more credit accounts and with 2 years left on the current home we are purchasing, making more bills does not make sense. In the end, we have decided to pay off the current home in a year. There is a two year payoff on my truck. Keep the home we have, remodel it and use the money we saved for a down payment to use that on a new car for him to commute the 30 mins to work. In the end, we save ourselves a BRAND NEW MORTGAGE. We have a home that is paid off in full. In a year or two my truck will be paid off in full without a new mortgage or opening new credit accounts just to build credit.
