This realtor represented a property and held an open house for a property my husband and I looked at. We found out the same week that friends of ours had seen it the previous week. They really liked it and made an offer. The realtor contacted the homeowner and they made a counter offer. Our friends took several days to think it over (approximately 4 days) and talk to their mortgage broker. They then called this broker, who off-handedly said Oh, another offer was made and the homeowner accepted it. We told our friends we had never heard of a realtor conducting themselves in such an unprofessional way. Since the homeowner and our friends were in negotiations, how could the realtor not contact them to let them know another offer was made? We own a business in the area and are telling everyone how unprofessional he is!
