Anonymous U. sold a previous house in Shirley, NY with Donna Tavano Gallo and wouldn't recommend them to other home sellers.

Terrible realtor. Lied to us, threatened us and I ended up doing most of the paperwork and making calls the the negotiators to get the house sold. While she brought in buyers, she told us we didn't have to pay anything at closing which in the end, it was not true. She dropped the price of the house lower than we were told and I never signed the paperwork for it. At closing, I paid $100 and paid back the bank $3000 in a deal that I worked out with the workout negotiator. Donna threatened to put my house in foreclosure. I told her to go right ahead. She didn't scare me. Turns out she was getting about $15,000 to sell the house and once I told the negotiator, whom by the way Donna did not want me to speak to, we worked out a deal for me to pay back $3000 over a 3-5 year period. In addition, a friend of mine ended up using her as well, coincidentally, and it was a nightmare as well. She knows a lot about short sales, I will give you that, as long as they work in her favor. I got a lot of lies from her and she avoided my calls until I threatened her and the attorney I used to report them to the Attorney General's office. Unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers out there looking out for their own benefit. Beware of this realtor. I related to all the other writers here and my heart goes out to all of them.

Donna Gallo, Where do I begin. I highly suggest you stay FAR AWAY FROM HER. She does unethical and illegal things. We went through 3 seperate house that she had listed, and ended up with none. First she claims that you have to use EURO MORTGAGE BANK!, which is not true by any means, pretty sure she gets a major kick back from them by bringing them all of these loans, when the buyers believe they have to use this bank. She "forgot" to put keys back in lock box's, we needed to have an apt to see a vacant house with our own agent. When the bank wanted to look at the house there were once again no keys. She lied about things in the listings and on the phone, that is when you could get ahold of her, she only picked up/called us back when she wanted something. She threatened us numerous times that if we didnt close by a certain date or have papers by a date the deal was dead. She tried to get 5 thousand extra out of us for the sellers pocket for "furniture". She lied up down and sideways about everything! She falsified offers and amounts, and lied to the bank about our offer. Then, she claimed on one of the properties that she had put our offer in we had an inspection and then stoped calling us back for a week, when we contacted the seller they said they had never gotten our offer and had signed a contract that day with someone else! She threatened us that if we didnt close on the house and ALLOW THE SELLERS TO STAY IN THE HOUSE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 3 WEEKS PAST CLOSING!! that we would loose the property. SHE IS A HORRIBLE RE AGENT and we are legally persuing her at this time, for her unethical and illegal acts. I recommend stay away from her.

Jessica G. bought a previous house in Centereach, NY with Donna Tavano Gallo and wouldn't recommend them to other home sellers.

The listing agent associated with our propery was Donna Gallo from REMAX. She was a HORRIBLE RE agent & I recommend everyone and anyone to stay FAR FAR away from her. She did everything from the unethical to the illegal! Here's all the details of what she put us through: *Lied on the listing about a bunch of things like harwood floors (when they were really vinyl). *Lied about the previous owners still living in the house (when they were not). Also, saying we needed an appointment to see the house & that was not true either! She just didnt want to split a commission with our RE agent Eileen Sumpolec (who was AMAZING by the way!!!! - highly recommend her)!!! *Tried to push a falsified HUD through. *Was apparently in kahootz with the Mortgage Lender, which caused all sorts of problems. *Called me & harrassed me while I was at work (6-8 times a day) for 3 days straight... FRANTICALLY telling me we need to close on the house tomorrow otherwise we would lose it. Causing me to make a zillion phone calls to rush other people to do things, when in fact there had never been anything expiring or any closing dates estblished. She probably got a bonus if she closed the house by a certain day... that's why she was frantic. *Was apparently in kahootz with the Title Company she was working with, telling us we don't even need Title Insurance. HA! RIGHT! WTF?! *Did NOT show up at the closing which caused absolute chaos for 7 hours!!!! *Worked out a way for the sellers to walk away with and extra 2k, even though it is highly ILLEGAL for that to happen. Claiming it was for furniture... when that was already built into our contract. Did not notify the sellers attorney about any of this... resulting in a malpractice suite for him if we did not buy the house. *Never replaced the lock-box with the key on the front door, causing complete chaos when the bank came to look at the propery & found no key. *Worked with the appraiser to falsify information on our appraisal, stating that the house was winterized when it was NOT. I believe legal action is being taken against him now. This cause our bank to delay the approval on our loan since it was FHA backed. We needed to prove the house had working water, elecrtic & heat. My husband had to fix 12 BURST PIPES & the oil burner blew a gasket. Finally (after we fixed it) We got approval from the bank. *Her split in the commission was OVER 10%!!!!!!! This is unheard of & no one knows how she was able to get this amount of money without being involved in something HIGHLY illegal. *Lastly, she is the most cold-hearted person I have ever met. Since everyone knew she was making a HUGE commission, when the numbers came up short at the closing she was asked to take a commission cut (happens often in these situations, I'm told) of $700 & she refused. We went above and beyond our conditions to satisfy our commitment to contract & the reason we were short was her fault. *We never even got a key when we walked away from the closing table because she so conveniently decided to not show up at the closing. Please tell your friends & family to stay far far away from her!!!!
